The SFI's staff provides intensive home-based services which offers families a reality based interventions in a short -term solution focused format. The home setting provides treatment resistant families the opportunity to change family patterns of abuse, neglect and behavior problems in real-life settings. Appointments are scheduled to meet the needs of the family, improving treatment compliance. An effort made to include the family’s formal and informal support network in services to provide a complete assessment of the factors that facilitate the family’s success.
Research has shown that this innovative approach provides cost-effective treatment, successful long term treatment outcomes and reducing out-of-home placements, especially with families that have parent-child relationship issues, emotional distress, abuse and neglect issues and psychiatric issues.

The staff has been trained and certified to test for both drugs and alcohol.
The onsite test is a simple, qualitative assay that detects recent drug use in oral fluids. Its uniquely designed container automatically splits the specimen, using half for immediate drug-of-abuse testing and storing the remaining sample for confirmation testing, if required. The instrument is for forensic use only.

The unit is specially designed to collect, test, and store oral fluids in one container without the test administrator handling the sample. Even if laboratory confirmation is required, its tamper-evident container is ready for labeling, packaging, and shipping.

No charts to compare or calculations to make. Just a negative or preliminary positive result. Provides immediate feedback to the client and session information.

Because the collection and testing process is OBSERVABLE, there’s less likelihood of sample substitution or adulteration. Also, there is no need for special facilities or gender-specific staffing concerns.

A clean, accurate drug test can be performed at the work site…in the field…anywhere, any time. The sample is sent to an independent third party laboratory for confirmation and a printed result is shipped (within 72 hours of administering it) to our office and then it is faxed to the agency's office.
