Currently, there are hundreds of children in state custody on a given day in these counties, our response is based on working with the agencies and families for the past several years in a variety of roles.

OUR RESPONSE: Our dream is to build a two fold visitation program which will aid families and their children in reunification quicker before attachment problems have worsened.   Initially, in phase one, it is our plan that we will develop the local site to service children and families in both Richmond and Columbia counties. Phase two is based on the vision in expanding the service into the surrounding counties, visitation programs that are combined with the homestead and parent aide services which will focus on family stabilization and expedite family reunification.

Supervised Visitation Programs provide an opportunity for non custodial parents to maintain contact with their children in a safe, nurturing and neutral setting.

Our services will include:

*One-to-one supervision (one supervisor assigned to a single family);

* Group supervision (supervision of several families at a time);

* Monitored exchanges (supervision of a Child’s movement between the residential and the nonresidential parent immediately before and after unsupervised visitation);

* Telephone monitoring (monitoring phone calls from the nonresidential parent to the child);

* Video monitoring (web cameras in the visitation center for monitoring);

*Ancillary services, such as parenting education; and

*Therapeutic supervision (mental health professionals providing therapy/counseling to the family during the visit).
